Maximum length of AI narrations and audiobooks

The length of an AI narration is content-driven: the more and the denser your source text, the longer the audio — up to the limit of your plan.

The limit is a maximum, not a target. A short text produces a short podcast, even if your plan would allow more.

No extra tool needed — you steer the length through text amount and plan.

Quick answer: length per plan

The actual duration follows your text. These upper limits apply per plan:

  • Free: preview around 5 minutes — your first own podcast is unlocked in full length.
  • Basic: up to 30 minutes · Pro: up to 60 minutes per podcast.
  • Max: no fixed minute limit — length is purely content-driven.
How it works

What determines the length of your narration

Three factors decide how long your podcast or audiobook becomes.

1

1. Your amount of text

More source text means more content to narrate. A one-page PDF yields a few minutes, a full script accordingly more.

2

2. Your plan

Each plan has an upper limit per narration: Basic up to 30 minutes, Pro up to 60 minutes, Max without a fixed limit. If the content is shorter, the audio simply gets shorter.

3

3. Format: podcast or audiobook

Audiobooks are generated chapter by chapter and can therefore cover longer works. The overall limit of your plan still applies.

Limits per plan at a glance

The minutes shown are maximum values per narration — the real length follows from your text.

Free & Basic

In the free version you hear a preview of about 5 minutes; your very first own podcast is unlocked in full length. The Basic plan allows up to 30 minutes per podcast.

Pro

The Pro plan raises the limit to up to 60 minutes per narration — ideal for extensive scripts, lectures or whole chapters.

Max

In the Max plan there is no fixed minute limit. Length is fully content-driven, so even very long documents are narrated in one go.

How long can an AI podcast or audiobook be on LearnCastAI?

The most common question about AI narrations is: "How long will my audio be?" The honest answer: it depends mainly on your source text. LearnCastAI does not force your content into a rigid time slot but produces as much audio as the material supports. A brief handout becomes a few minutes, a detailed script becomes a long episode. Only when the content reaches the limit of your plan does the maximum kick in.

Why is the limit a maximum and not a target?

The minute figures of the plans — 30 minutes on Basic, 60 minutes on Pro — are caps, not requirements. The AI does not artificially stretch a short text just to fill a limit. That keeps the listening experience natural, without repetition and filler. So if you deliberately want longer episodes, you need more or more detailed input — not simply a higher plan.

How do I create longer content or whole audiobooks?

For longer narrations you have two levers. First: a plan with a higher limit — Pro allows up to 60 minutes per podcast, Max has no fixed limit. Second: the audiobook format, which structures your material into chapters and thereby covers extensive works. Very long documents can additionally be split into several parts and narrated one after another — that way you get around any single limit while keeping a clear structure.

In short: the amount of text determines the length, your plan determines the maximum. For most learning materials the 30 minutes of the Basic plan are plenty. Anyone who regularly narrates entire lectures, textbooks or extensive scripts is better served by Pro or Max. The best way to find out is to try it with your own material — the first full podcast is free.

Frequently asked questions about length

Because length is content-driven. If your source text only supports a few minutes, the audio is short accordingly — the AI does not fill a limit artificially.
Use the audiobook format, which structures your material into chapters, and choose a plan with a higher limit if needed. Very long works can additionally be split into several parts.
Yes. Normally you hear a preview of about 5 minutes — but your very first own podcast is unlocked in full length so you experience the full result.
Barely. What matters is the amount of content. Voice and language change the sound, not significantly the duration.
