Help & Billing

My quota isn't resetting — what now?

Your podcast or audiobook counter is still on the old value, even though a new month has started? Don't worry — LearnCastAI doesn't count by calendar month, but day-precise from your subscription start. Here's when your next reset is due and how you can check it yourself.

All timings are based on the Europe/Berlin time zone. The reset happens automatically once the payment for the next billing cycle is processed.

Why your quota still looks the same

The three most common reasons the reset isn't visible yet.

Wrong date in mind

Many users expect the reset on the 1st of the month. LearnCastAI, however, counts day-precise from the day you subscribed.

If you subscribed on the 15th, your cycle always runs from the 15th to the 14th of the following month.

Payment delayed

The reset only happens once the payment for the new cycle has been successfully booked. With SEPA direct debit this can take 1–3 days.

With credit cards and PayPal the reset usually happens within minutes.

Stale cache

Sometimes the quota has already been reset but your browser still shows the old value from cache.

A hard reload (Ctrl+Shift+R) or log out / log in refreshes the display reliably.

Step-by-step solution

3 steps to an updated quota

Work through these steps in order — usually the issue is solved after step 2.

1

Check your billing period

Open the billing page and check when your next cycle starts. The date is day-precise.

You'll see start date, renewal date and your current quota status.

Tip: The renewal date is exactly one month after your last start date.
2

Clear browser cache

Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to reload the page without cache.

Alternatively, log out and log back in — this pulls the current quota values straight from the database.

Note: After the reload, the counter should reflect the new cycle.
3

Contact support

If your renewal date was more than 24 hours ago and the quota still shows the old value, it's time to contact us.

Our support team checks your account, payment status and resets the quota manually if needed.

Tip: Include your renewal date in the message — it speeds up the check.

Good to know about your quota

These facts help you understand the counting and reset system better.

Day-precise billing

Your billing period always runs from the day you signed up — not from the 1st of the month.

Europe/Berlin time zone

All times and reset moments refer to Central European Time (Europe/Berlin).

Automatic reset

As soon as your payment for the new cycle is booked, your quota is updated without any action on your part.

No roll-over

Unused quota expires at the end of the cycle. There is no transfer to the next month.

Free tier with its own reset

The free plan has its own monthly quota. It resets on the 1st of each calendar month.

Quota reset at LearnCastAI — how your billing cycle works

If you use your podcast or audiobook quota on LearnCastAI regularly, you will eventually notice that the counter still shows the old value even though a new month has started. This is not a bug but a feature of the billing model: your quota runs day-precise from the subscription start, not from the 1st of the month. If you signed up on the 15th, your reset always lands on the 15th of the following month — in the Europe/Berlin time zone, as soon as the payment for the new cycle is processed. This model is transparent, fair and aligned with common SaaS subscription standards.

When exactly is your quota reset?

The reset happens automatically the moment your payment provider confirms the charge for the new cycle. With credit cards and PayPal this usually occurs within minutes after your renewal date. With SEPA direct debit it can take 1–3 working days due to bank processing times. In both cases the system works fully automatically — you don't need to do anything, click anything or submit a request. Your quota is updated in the background and is immediately available in full again.

What to do if the reset doesn't come

If you still see the old quota value after your renewal date, a hard reload of the browser (Ctrl+Shift+R) or a quick log out / log in almost always helps. This clears the local cache and pulls the current values from the database. If the counter remains unchanged and your renewal date was more than 24 hours ago, contact our support team. We then manually check the payment status, the billing cycle and reset your quota if necessary. Please remember: unused quota expires at the end of the cycle and is not transferred to the next month.

LearnCastAI is built for fair, transparent usage — and the quota system is the core of your plan. If you know in advance that you want to produce more in a specific month, plan your content deliberately within the current cycle. And if you realise your plan doesn't fit permanently, you can always upgrade to a larger plan — the quota adjusts immediately.
