AI interview practice: would they hire you?

The LearnCastAI job interview simulator reads your job posting and asks you six questions a recruiter would ask for exactly that role. You answer by voice or text. Every answer gets feedback and a stronger version, and at the end you get a verdict: would they hire you? You are talking to an AI, not a person.

Paste the job posting, add up to three bullet points about your experience, start the interview. No resume, no names.

How the practice interview works

  1. 1.

    Describe the role

Paste the text of the job posting and add up to three points from your experience. That is all the interviewer needs.

  2. 2.

    Answer six questions

The AI interviewer asks each question out loud. You answer into the microphone or type, whichever suits you.

  3. 3.

    Verdict and better answers

After each answer you see what worked and what was missing, plus a suggested wording. At the end comes the verdict: yes, maybe or not yet.

How can I practice for a job interview?

What helps most is answering out loud and getting honest feedback afterwards. Friends can help, but they do not know the role and are rarely strict enough. The simulator asks questions about your specific job posting, scores every answer and shows you a stronger version. You find out where you start to ramble before the real interview.

Questions the AI interviewer asks

The questions come from your job posting. For an office administrator role they might sound like this:

  1. Tell me briefly what you have done so far and why you are applying for this role.
  2. The posting says you will handle reception and scheduling. What do you do when three calls come in at once?
  3. You mention basic bookkeeping software skills. Which tasks have you handled with it?
  4. Tell me about a time a customer was unhappy. What did you do?
  5. What would need to happen in your first three months for you to say this role was the right choice?

Am I talking to a real person?

No. The interviewer is an AI, and we tell you so before every interview. A language model generates the questions, the feedback and the verdict from your job posting and your answers. The verdict is a practice aid and says nothing about how a real company will decide.

What the simulator does

Questions about your role

Not a list from the internet: the questions refer to the tasks and requirements in your posting and to the experience you list.

A better wording for every answer

You see not only what is missing but also how a stronger answer could sound. Placeholders like [X years] are for your own numbers.

Stress questions and salary talks

With a subscription you can also practice tough follow-ups or the salary conversation, in English or German, up to 50 interviews per month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the job interview simulator free?
Yes. With a free account you get 1 practice interview per month, with all six questions, feedback and the verdict. With a subscription you get up to 50 interviews per month, plus stress questions, salary negotiation and a second language.
Do I need to upload my resume?
No. The simulator only needs the text of the job posting and up to three bullet points about your experience. Names, addresses or certificates do not belong there, and the form does not ask for them.
Can I answer by voice?
Yes. The interviewer asks the questions out loud and you answer into the microphone. If you cannot speak right now, just type your answer.
How meaningful is the AI verdict?
It is an assessment of your answers in this practice interview, backed by specific points. It does not replace a real interview and says nothing about how a company will decide. It is useful because it shows you which answers to sharpen before the real thing.
Which languages can I practice in?
English and German. Without a subscription you practice in your account language; with a subscription you can choose either, for example to prepare for an international role.
What happens to my details and recordings?
The job posting, your bullet points and your answers are only processed to generate questions, feedback and the verdict. You can delete any interview at any time. Which services are involved and how long recordings are kept is explained in the privacy policy.

Better to stumble here than in the real interview

A practice interview takes about ten minutes. Afterwards you know which answers land and which still need work.

AI interview practice: what it does and what it does not

Most people prepare for a job interview by reading common questions and sketching answers. That helps, but it skips the most important part: saying the answer out loud while someone listens and follows up. That is where you find out whether an answer holds up or drifts into generalities after three sentences.

Why questions about your own role beat generic lists

Question lists are the same for every job. A recruiter asks about the tasks in their posting: the software it names, the customer contact, the responsibility. The simulator builds its questions from your posting and your bullet points, so you practice the questions that are likely to come up, not only the classics.

What the simulator is not

The interviewer is an AI. It does not know the company from the inside, and its verdict is a practice aid, not a prediction. It is not career counseling either. It is there so you can answer a few times under realistic conditions before the appointment and get targeted feedback.

The simulator helps most shortly before a specific interview: paste the posting, run one interview, rework your weakest answers using the suggested wording and answer a second time. If you want to prepare for the common questions first, our guide lists them with answer ideas.
